MY PATIO STUDIO

I decided to set up a portable studio on the Patio Table outside since the weather has been so beautiful. I went back into the house to get my jars of water, and when I returned a new artist has taken over my place!!

After some persuasion we came to an agreement. She would lay in the chair beside me, and I would paint.

I have started on the "hens" that gudl posted on her blog several weeks ago. I thought the colors were so beautiful, and could see it as a nice watercolor.
So here I am enjoying my outdoor studio. If I start another ABC Art Project, My hens will give me something for "H".

Patty gave me this award and I am truly honored. The rule is to pass it on to 5 blogs that make your day. A lot of the people I read and enjoy daily have received many awards, so today, I will choose 5 that make my day that don't always get the recognition they should!!
Andrew ~~because he a romantic poet and speaks to the heart, and I love his Book Tangled in Wisteria.
Janice ~~ because her art and poetry thrills and delights me.
Angela ~~ because she is taking us on a painful journey with her husbands cancer and she's my hero.
Darlene ~~ because she has a way of putting her life in "blog form" and I am always inspired and touch with her talents and gifts.
Jose ~~ because his "Joe Cool" blog lets me hear his great singing voice and he always keeps me updated on current events, and American Idol commentaries.
I know you all have very busy lives ~~ so if you can, please consider passing this award along to those you enjoy.

The new artist is acting like a cat! A cat will always get right up on whatever you're doing...haha. Looks like a peaceful, nice area for painting projects. I hope I can find a nice area for my "studio" when we move...which will be this weekend.

That is what is so sweet about shih tzus, they always want to be right where you are. Sofie followed me around more today than she ever has before. Maybe she has enough shih tzu in her afterall.

I can't wait to see your finished chickens. When my patio warms up I'm going outside to paint too! I have an old milk can to work on.

So cute! It all looks idyllic there. I'm jealous! It's wet and windy here and I've had to put the heating on. Ooooh!

I see your helper like to get into the thick of things. Our cats are like that. I like seeing your work in action.

Don't overlook Molly. You might become an international star if Molly the Shi Tzu starts painting with her paws! How cute! Have a great day and thanks for popping over to my blog.

Congratulations on your award and bravo for paying homage to the people you love... I like the photos. I'd like to be an artist again (I was a potter and "sculptor" for a long time).

Your patio looks so cozy and inviting. What a wonderful spot to paint your lovely pictures. I'm so happy to hear that life gets better and better each day. I know moving was difficult.

Paint away my dear... paint away!!

Good thing Molly's cute! And what a great companion.

Loved seeing your outdoor studio and what a great start to the hen painting. I'm looking forward to seeing it when done. It looks like its going to be great.

That is cute. Reminds me of our cat (now deceased). My favorite game is SCRABBLE. We would put the box lid on the floor as we played. The cat would get in the box, go round and round then lie down and nap while we played Scrabble.

Now looking at your sweet dog in the first photos..this image certainly suits "brush strokes from the heart"..my sweet felines do just that whenever I am at the computer!

I had a Lhasa once upon a time, and she looked alot like your little artist. Holding her was like holding a baby, and she was very loyal to me, and wonderful judge of character.

Thanks for all your visits and comments on Wichita - I appreciate your kindness.

What a lucky pup. All I could think of is I hope a squirrel doesn't gome along and cause her to knock off all those brushes & supplies. Ha!
